Community Content Terms
Effective date: 16 July 2026
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Version: 0.2
These Community Content Terms are part of the Terms of Service for PassageMaster™, operated by Astramara, LLC. They govern content that users submit, share, or contribute where community or user-generated content features are offered ("Community Content").
Status: Community submission features are not generally available in the current release. These terms are published in advance and apply to any Community Content features when and where they are enabled. Curated or licensed reference data included in region packs is not user-submitted Community Content.
Waterway Guide and NoForeignLand overlays are not in the current release. The Service does not rent location pins.
1. Your responsibility for what you submit
You are responsible for any Community Content you submit and represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. Community Content is provided by users, is not verified by Astramara, and must not be relied upon for navigation or safety decisions. Always verify against official sources.
2. License you grant
By submitting Community Content, you grant Astramara a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Service. You retain ownership of your Community Content. You can remove your Community Content, though copies may remain in backups or where others have relied on it.
3. Prohibited content
You must not submit Community Content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, harassing, invasive of privacy, or that contains malware, or that misrepresents navigational or safety conditions. Content must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Moderation and removal
We may — but are not obligated to — review, moderate, refuse, or remove Community Content, and may suspend contributors, at our discretion and consistent with applicable law. We are not responsible for Community Content submitted by users.
5. Copyright and notice-and-takedown
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe Community Content infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent with: identification of the work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury. We will respond consistently with applicable law (including the U.S. DMCA where it applies) and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers. Designated agent: Astramara, LLC Copyright Agent, [email protected].
6. No obligation; indemnity
We have no obligation to store or maintain Community Content. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Astramara against claims arising from Community Content you submit in breach of these terms.
